Due to high costs and the present high degree of utilization of manufacturing equipment, it is generally impossible to check or optimize new manufacturing processes and material processing directly in production conditions. One of the most efficient possibilities enabling the development and optimization of new procedures is the material-technological modelling of structure development. The term material-technological modelling means the creation of identical or near-identical conditions which the material is exposed to during the actual technological process. The process specifications in the forming technologies, thermomechanical treatment and, if necessary, heat treatment can be characterized by a number of selected parameters. In material-technological modelling, the influence of particular parameters must be known and, according to its intensity, the model parameters must be selected in an appropriate manner.
