The paper deals with a search of scientific articles focused on the optimization of production planning in relation tothe use of energy and natural resources, production planning using simulation models in the context of Industry 4.0and the methodologies for the creation and use of simulation models in the context of Industry 4.0. These topics arefocused on the current development of the Industry 4.0 concept in connection with simulations, planning andoptimization. These are mostly articles indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases. Thesedatabases were selected because the articles contained in them are recognised by Czech technical universities.
