This work solves the connection of Compact Flash memory cards and ATA disks to the software processors NIOS. The task is to solve physical connection of the memory cards and the ATA disks with the software processor NIOS and to write a library in programming language C. The library works with FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 file system. The library solves the complete work with connected data media. The library contains functions for creating, writing, reading and deleting of a file, setting of current disk anddirectory, making directory, detection of free disk space, disk formatting and other support functions.
