Method for calculation of forces on magnetically levitated train is described. Calculation of forces for newer system of EDS with levitational coils on sides of the guiding track is shown. Two forces are taken into consideration: the drag force and the lift force. Forces are also calculated and the results are presented in a simple and easy-to-understand graphical form.
