This paper deals three general viewpoints of the role of science and technology in history. The first one deals with its increasing historical role in the developing world. It discusses the importance and mutual influence of teory and practice. It introduces the structure of the basic and applied research as well as development and different kinds of ist management.The output of research has general positive influence on human society, but it creates also some jeopardy because of the possibility of misappropriate use.
