Wind Turbine Noise
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper deals with wind turbine noise generation and describes various noise sources divided into two main groups - aerodynamic sounds and mechanical sounds. It explains how low frequency sound, inflow turbulence sound or airfoil self-noise is generated. The paper shows the possibilities of sound propagation (Up- and downwind propagation) and other factors which influence wind turbine noise propagation such as source characteristics, weather effects, ground effects (reflection and absorption of soundon the ground), shape of the land or wind speed. The paper mentions infrasound from wind turbines. The contribution of technical studies, noise measurement and noise modelling to better understanding of the wind turbine noise issues is shown in this paper. It points to the inadequacy of standards designed to measure wind turbines noise (CSN EN 61400-11), environmental noise limits and amount of people who are highly annoyed by wind turbine noise.
