Evaluation of short interruptions of supply voltage in distribution system
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Continuity of supply can be regulated by a national regulation authority to maintain or improve its level. Short interruptions are monitored and regulated much less frequently than long interruptions. They can occur as single event or in sequences cased by a single power system event or by independent events. Frequency of their occurrence is mainly characterized by the indicator MAIFI. Method used for counting interruption sequences greatly affects the values of the indicator. In regulatory framework, it is important to define continuity of supply indicators and to establish procedures for counting of interruptions. The presented work is initial step in preparation of methodology for MAIFI calculation in the Czech Republic. In the paper, long-term monitoring of events in selected MV/LV substations is evaluated. Number and percentage of short and long interruptions during monitoring period is shown. Values of MAIFI indicator are compared with values of modified indicator that besides short interruptions includes also severe voltage dips. The effect of various aggregation methods and time-aggregation intervals for counting of short interruptions is illustrated on the case of a MV/LV substation with extreme occurrence of short interruptions.
