Transferring Ownership Right to Real Estate in the Czech Republic and Procedures at the Cadastral Office

This article deals with several sub-issues related to the original topic. It´s aim is firstly to explain what form the contract on the transfer of ownership rights to real estate must have and what are the specific content requirements for such contract, according to the law of the Czech Republic. Another aspect will be an explanation at which moment will the new person acquire the ownership right to the real estate and why the law applies this particular method, since the moment of acquisition of the ownership right is not the same as the moment of conclusion of the contract. Furthermore, this contribution will be devoted to the short explanation concerning proceedings before the Cadastral Office of the Czech Republic, how the cadastral office assesses the contract, how long the proceedings at the cadastral office usually last, what are the administrative fees and so on.
