Democracy, corruption and (in)security: a theoretical interpretation and several observations from the Czech environment
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The topic of corruption is a significant subject of research in the social sciences. Corruption is a phenomenon that fundamentally impacts society, politics, and the economy, and permeates various spheres of human life and the functioning of society. Corruption is linked to security – we can view corrupt behavior as a problem for security in a broad sense on the level of individuals, groups, and states. This paper aims to outline the manners in which corruption can be linked to the issue of security. The goal of the paper is thus to explain the possible forms of the relationship between these two topics. Theoretical arguments will be backed up by examples taken primarily from the Czech environment.
