Druhá světová válka a následný odsun Němců zanechala ve vzájemných československo-německých vztazích hluboké jizvy. Sudetští Němci odsunuti z českých zemích byly nuceni se vypořádat se svou novou rolí ve válkou zničené zemi. Hlavním důvodem vzniku svazů vyhnanců se stala ochrana a podpora vyhnanců ze sudetoněmeckých území. Hlavním cílem této studie je zhodnotit roli svazů vyhnanců na formování československo-německých vztazích.

The Second WorldWar and the postwar evacuation of the Germans left an underlying turning point on the relationships between Czechoslovakia and Germany. Sudeten Germans relocated from the Czech countries were forced to deal with their new and difficult role in a new land destroyed by war. That is the reason why expelees associations whose goal was to defend and support the interests of the residents of the Sudetenland started to emerge in Germany. The main aim of the study is to evaluate the role of the expelees associations within the frame of the formation of Czech-German relationships. The basic requirements of the expelees associations on the Czechoslovakia while taking the postwar evacuation of the Germans into account are analyzed. The next goal of the thesis is to highlight the basic mile stones in the development of Czech-German relationships. The study therefore attempts to deepen the studies of Czech-German relationships especially from the position of their reflection of Sudeten German organisations.
