Il lavoro rappresenta una lettura sistematica della cristologia di Romano Guardini alla luce dei suoi studi sulla teologia di san Bonaventura. In primo luogo viene presentata la ricerca di Guardini su Bonaventura ed esposta la sua importanza per il suo successivo lavoro. L’idea chiave della cristologia bonaventuriana è la centralità relazionale e trinitaria del «Christus tenens medium in omnibus». Questa teologia rappresenta una base per la lettura della cristologia dell’autore tedesco. La centralità di Cristo nel pensiero guardiniano è quella del Mediatore unico e universale della comunione con il Padre nello Spirito Santo. Nella ricerca sono analizzati i diversi aspetti della unica mediazione del Verbo incarnato: 1. Cristo «Mediatore della verità» piena e universale, cioè la dimensione rivelativa della cristologia. 2. Cristo «Mediatore della salvezza», ossia l’aspetto soteriologico in senso stretto. 3. Cristo pneumatico «Mediatore dell’esistenza cristiana», cioè la partecipazione spirituale ed ecclesiale del cristiano all’esistenza di Cristo. In questi tre ambiti è esposta in modo sistematico la cristologia di Romano Guardini alla luce della teologia bonaventuriana.

This thesis presents a systematic reading of Romano Guardini’s Christology in the light of his studies of St. Bonaventure’s theology. At first Guardini’s research on Bonaventura is presented and it’s significance for his following studies highlighted. The essential idea of Bonaventure’s Christology is the relational and trinitarian centrality of «Christus tenens medium in omnibus». This theology provides a basis for the understanding of the German author’s Christology. According to him the centrality of Christ is to be found in Christ being the only and universal Mediator of communion with the Father in the Holy Spirit. This research analyses the various aspects of the one mediation through the Word incarnate: 1. Christ as “Mediator of full and universal truth”, i. e. the revelatory dimension of Christology. 2. Christ as “Mediator of salvation”, i. e. the soteriological aspect in a strict sense. 3. Pneumatic Christ as “Mediator of Christian existence”, i. e. spiritual and ecclesial participation in Christ by Christians. Within these three frames Romano Guardini’s Christology in the light of St. Bonaventure’s theology is systematically examined and highlighted.
