Der themenzentrierte Fremdsprachenunterricht im Freien verfolgt problem-, projekt- und handlungsorientierte Ziele, die über die fachimmanenten Zielsetzungen der einzelnen Fächer hinausgehen. Die Natur bietet eine Gelegenheit einzelne Themenkreise nicht nur kognitiv (Themen wie Jahreszeiten, Fauna, Flora, Umwelt), sondern auch affektiv (Wirkung von Formen, Klängen und anderen Sinneseindrücken) sowie motorisch (Holzprodukte, Kunst aus Natur) zu behandeln.

The theme-centered foreign-language teaching in the nature pursues problem-, project- and action-oriented goals that go beyond the specific objectives of the individual school subjects. Nature offers an opportunity to treat individual themes not only cognitively (topics such as seasons, fauna, flora, environment), but also affective (effect of forms, sounds and other sensory impressions) as well through motor skills (wood products, art from nature).
