Das Kapitel gibt einen Überblick über die grundlegende Gesetzgebung im Bereich des Gesundheitswesens in den 1920er Jahren in der Tschechoslowakei bzw. in den historischen Ländern. Die neu gegründete Tschechoslowakische Republik setzte auf eine Zentralisierung des Gesundheitswesens (Schaffung eines unabhängigen Ministeriums, Stärkung der Rolle des Staates), wodurch sie sich von ihrer Vorgängerin, der Habsburgermonarchie, unterschied.

The chapter provides an overview of the basic legislation in the field of healthcare in the 1920s in Czechoslovakia and in the historical countries. The newly founded Czechoslovak Republic relied on the centralisation of healthcare (creation of an independent ministry, strengthening the role of the state), which set it apart from its predecessor, the Habsburg Monarchy.
