Kapitola z disertační práce: "Pojetí syntetické mysli: Návrh speciální kognitivní architektury pro aplikace v oblasti obecné umělé inteligence". V této kapitole je představena koncepce humovského pojetí mysli a perceptivních procesů. Vycházeno je primárně z Humova díla A Treatise of Human Nature. Cílem této části práce je představit aktuální či „aktualizovanou“ interpretaci Humova díla, která bude brát v úvahu jak stěžejní body Humovy teorie percepcí, tak moderní poznatky z oboru kognitivní psychologie, popřípadě též z oboru kognitivní vědy. Přes nepochybnou závažnost, bohatost a podnětnost epistemologických a metafyzických myšlenek daného díla, se v rámci této práce omezím téměř výhradně na Humovu psychologii respektive na psychologickou rovinu Humovy teorie lidské mysli. Zásadní je pro účely této práce zejména Humova teorie percepcí, principů asociace a koncepce základních Humem předpokládaných mohutností mysli. Tímto by měla být připravena půda pro diskuzi této koncepce v kontextu kognitivní architektoniky a obecné umělé inteligence v následujících částech práce.

Chapter from a dissertation:"The Conception of Synthetic Mind: A Proposal of A Special Cognitive Architecture for Applications in the Field of Artificial General Intelligence". This chapter presents the concept of Hume's conception of the mind and perceptual processes. It is based primarily on Hume's work A Treatise of Human Nature. The aim of this part of the thesis is to present a current or "updated" interpretation of Hume's work, which will take into account both the key points of Hume's theory of perception and modern findings in the field of cognitive psychology and, where applicable, cognitive science. Despite the undoubted importance, richness, and stimulating nature of the epistemological and metaphysical ideas in this work, I will limit myself almost exclusively to Hume's psychology, or rather the psychological dimension of Hume's theory of the human mind. Hume's theory of perception, the principles of association, and the concept of the basic powers of the mind assumed by Hume are particularly important for the purposes of this work. This should prepare the ground for a discussion of this concept in the context of cognitive architecture and general artificial intelligence in the following sections of the work.
