Under the motto Freedom is My Home, the third annual international symposium dedicated to the artistic legacy of Jiří Trnka took place in October 2024. The symposium commemorated the work of the Pilsen native, whose contribution to the development of many artistic disciplines is unquestionable, and provided a meeting place for leading domestic and international experts and scholars, as well as artists from the fields of illustration and animation. During the conference of theoreticians, lectures were given on the issue of freedom, and conversely its loss, both in the field of illustration itself and with overlaps into other artistic fields.
