Determining the market value of a business in bankruptcy is a problem which in the current global financial crisis will become increasingly more common. To determine a bankrupt company's market value requires a comprehensive approach, and the question iswhether the methodology and procedures currently used to determine the market value of businesses can be fully utilized even for businesses in bankruptcy. Creating a valuation model for businesses in bankruptcy and reorganization plans, not only for theneeds of the insolvency trustee, but also for court-appointed experts, is a complex problem whose resolution must be based on all the current methods of valuation of a business as a whole.
