Case Study Of Risk Management In Large Telecommunication Company

Current global market is defined by constant change and potential threats. Therefore the risk management is receiving increasing importance in company management. The contribution is presenting the case study performed in large Czech telecommunication company with focus on the risk management. Telecommunication industry went through vast growth in recent decades and companies operating in this field are exposed to constant threats (i.e. hackers, fraudsters etc.). Thus the companies are enforced to implement risk management, especially risk identification, risk evaluation and application of appropriate risk management methods. The research was conducted between senior process / product specialists, project managers and team leaders with aim of identifying what is the risk management approach in day-to-day business within selected company. The results show that respondents perceive risk management as important part of their work with everyday utilization of risk management. However the room of improvement has been found. Moreover the respondents stated, that set of risk examples from similar activities would help them considerably. The outcomes was used for enhancing the UX development of proposed software solution.
