The aim of this work was to describe the measurement of mechanical properties of smooth muscle and connective tissue of the integument of the pulmonate gastropod’s foot and to find the modulus of elasticity and strength limit of this tissue. The results of stereological quantification of volume fractions of the main components of the tissue and the origin and direction’s preference of the spreading of the tissue rupture in reaction to uniaxial linear loading are presented.
