We have tested available distributed file systems and all of them had some drawbacks, so we decided to design and implement our own. We defined two main goals. The first one is to create environment for experiments with data traffic optimization in the distributed systems with the potential of the future usage inside mobile devices. The second goal is to develop fully distributed file system. Current implementation of designed file system provides all basic modules of the distributed file system. Two basic clients were built up. The first one is a plug-in of Total Commander application and the second one as a standalone application for mobile devices.
