Geomorphologic Information System (GmIS), as a special type of GIS, can be helpful to geomorphologist in various situations in research. The fundamental functionality of the GmIS is to support collection, storage and maintenance of relevant geomorphologic data in a geomorphic database. It also has to offer special analytical tools for geomorphologic analysis, namely: creation of digital terrain model and derived surfaces, creation of elementary forms or basins, terrain mapping and processing of its results, computing of morphometric characteristic of elementary forms, creation of higher levels of morphologic forms, delimitation of watersheds, morphometric characteristic of watersheds, geomorphic network creation support, etc. Above mentioned functionality anticipate an administrator, who is able to support the researcher and maintain the whole system. There exist desktop implementations of GmIS case studies in Surroundings of Prášilské jezero (lake), Devínská Kobyla and Fatransko-Turči
