A couple of conjugate screw surfaces creates a three - membered mechanism with higher kinematic peir. One of these surfaces is created as an envelope of second surface. In an ideal arrangement surfaces have curvilinear contact. After displacement of surface axes the original curvilinear contact changes into the contact at a point. Determination of contact point of conjugate surfaces is presented in this contribution. Application to a technical problem is made.
