Sensitivity analysis of turbocharger steady dynamic response with respect to floating ring bearing parameters
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Rotating machines are essential parts of many industrial devices. These units are usually connected to other parts using constraints that are generally of nonlinear character. Ideally, the movement is determined by elastic material characteristics and by forces generated in bearing supports. Due to presence of manufacturing tolerances or inaccurate machine fitting the change of weight distribution may occur. These variations often result in undesirable changes in operating behavior, for example an increase in vibration amplitudes. In this paper the sensitivity of steady-state response of turbocharger rotor to imbalance excitation regarding the change of bearing parameters is analyzed. The computed results of performed simulations indicate that the small change in bearing parameters may cause the significant change in the character of steady-state response.
