The paper deals with phase transformations of zirconium alloy Zr-Nb during high temperature heating. The phase tranformations were investigated by using X-ray diffraction analysis performed in situ. That was achieved by using automatic powder difractometr Panalytical X'Pert Pro with copper X-ray tube equipped with high-temperature chamber Anton Paar HTK 1200N. This chamber can be filled by inert gas or evacuated. In our case the rotary vane pump was used. With using of these pump a pressure in order of0,1 Pa was achieved. Heating process was different for each sample. All samples were exposed at a high temperature for three hours. During this time three diffraction patterns were measured. Other diffraction patterns were measured at room temperature, after the temperature reduction and during the deaeration. There was also indentation hardness and Young?s modulus measured on all samples for examination of heating process influence. The measurement was carried out by Indenter XP with a
