Interaction of flowing liquid with a deformable boundary by coupling SPH to FE
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper concerns interaction between fluid flow and a deformable boundary. Whilst smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) is used to represent the fluid, the boundary is modelled using finite elements (FE). A continuous contact model with automatic penalty force detection is implemented for describing the contact between the fluid smoothed particles and the boundary wall FE. The performance of the implemented algorithm is tested using the standard problem of a broken dam, where the calculation results are compared to published experimental data. The interaction of the flowing liquid is presented for 2D flow within a deformable boundary. The presented algorithm is implemented as in-house software for investigation of fluid coupling to a deformable boundary in 1D, 2D or 3D.
