Professional competence to perform sanitary profession of health nurses in the social services in Slovakia was for several years suspended by legislative standards of the Ministry of Labour, which places them to a disadvantage and unable to practice their profession according to their education. By the new legislative changes, they regain their powers, but in accordance with their required actions is necessary request the actions related the inclusion of specialist nurses in the nursing team and the obligation to operate with the nursing process method. Our aim is to assess the degree of self-sufficiency by Bartelovej activities test of daily life as a basis for nursing diagnosis NANDA to satisfy the needs of clients. Of the 129 clients social servicesin Kreatív in Klasov were selfsufficient in all activities of daily life only 13 and others were mainly dependent on diet, personál hygiene and the implementation of clysters.
