Die Gesundheitskompetenz der Bürger wird als bedeutender Bestandteil des Sozialkapitals und als ökonomische Priorität angesehen. Zu den Faktoren, die Ungleichheiten im Gesundheitsstatus bewirken können, gehören die Lebensbedingungen, das gesundheitsrelevante Verhalten, die Ausbildung, der Beruf, das Einkommen etc. Das Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Beurteilung des Einflusses ausgewählter sozio-ökonomischer Aspekte auf das Niveau der Gesundheitskompetenz der in der Region Südböhmen lebenden erwachsenen Bürger, wobei eine quantitative Forschungsstrategie mit Hilfe eines standardisierten, zur Erhebung der Gesundheitskompetenz der Bevölkerung bestimmten Fragebogens verfolgt wurde. Bei dem untersuchten Kollektiv handelte es sich um 303 Erwachsene im Gebiet der Region Südböhmen lebende Personen im Alter von 18 - 64 Jahren. Die Daten wurden in den Jahren 2016 und 2017 erhoben und die Ergebnisse wurden mit Hilfe des statistischen Programms SASD 1.4.12 auf Signifikanz bei einem Niveau von p < 0,05 analysiert. Die Forschungsergebnisse zeigten im Einklang mit früheren Studien eine statistisch signifikante Abhängigkeit der Gesundheitskompetenz vom Beruf der Befragten. Sie bestätigen weiter auch statistisch signifikante Zusammenhänge zwischen dem Niveau der Gesundheitskompetenz und den ökonomischen Verhältnissen der Befragten. Ein niedrigeres Niveau der Gesundheitskompetenz haben in bedeutend größerem Maße diejenigen Erwachsenen, für die es schwierig ist, die notwendigen Medikamente zu bezahlen, und die Befragten, die Probleme haben, am Monatsende ihre Rechnungen zu bezahlen, sowie auch diejenigen, die ihre Position auf der gesellschaftlichen Skala als niedriger bewerten.

The health literacy of the population is considered an economic priority and an important part of the social capital. The factors causing inequality include living conditions, health-related behaviour, education, occupation, income and others. The goal of the paper is to assess the influence of selected social and economic aspects regarding health literacy of adult citizens living in the South Bohemian Region. The study was a quantity use of a standardized questionnaire designed for the identification of the population`s health literacy. The selected sample group consisted of 303 respondents between 18 and 64 years. The data collection was carried out in 2016 and 2017 and the outcomes were analyzed using the SASD 1.4.12 statistic software at the significance level of p&lt;0.05. As well as previous studies, the presented study has proven a statistically significant dependence between health literacy and the occupations of the respondents. Furthermore, the results show statistically significant correlations between health literacy and the financial situation of the respondents. Significantly lower health literacy was proven in respondents who found it difficult to pay for necessary medicaments, those who had problems to pay their bills at the end of the month, as well as those who assessed their social status as low.
