Název v původním jazyce
Violence and child accidents as social determinants of healthy development
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Violence and child accidents have a negative impact on a child's healthy development. In this publication, violence is presented both by the CAN syndrome (Child Abuse and Neglect) and by statistics of accidents and their consequences, based on the authors' own publications as well as international ones. These aspects have a strong effect on the child's development, perceived within the social determinants of health. The aim of the study is to emphasise the consequences and possibilities of preventing mental and physical violence against children as well as child accidents, based on secondary analysis of national and international professional literature and laws. The findings indicate the necessity to introduce purposeful and broad preventive measures that would reduce these undesirable social phenomena.
