Radio System for Warning the Population in the Czech Republic During a Radiation Accident
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
An important element of civil protection and crisis management in the event of disasters and crisis situations is an effective population warning system. An effective warning system ensures rapid and reliable transmission of information to the population in order to minimize loss of life and property. Warning and informing the population are among the basic measures and tasks of population protection. Therefore, a unified warning system is being built in the event of a radiation accident, focusing on the emergency planning zone of the nuclear power plant (Temelín and Dukovany). The solution is designed as a two -way transmission system based on DMR technology (Digital Mobile Radio) according to the ETSI standard in the 146-174 MHz frequency band or on a similar standardized technology operating in the same frequency band. The aim of the study is to develop the characteristics of the modernization of the warning system in the event of a radiation accident, focusing on the emergency planning zone of the nuclear power plant (Temelin and Dukovany). In particular, it reflects the digital radio system, which is applicable for a two-way transmission system and a unified warning system.
