Der vorliegende Beitrag befasst sich mit einer Konstruktion des Bilds des Fürsten Anton Florian von Liechtenstein in den Augen der Bewohner und Besucher von Rom sowie mit den Methoden der Selbstpräsentation dieses Edelmanns während seiner diplomatischenMission am päpstlichen Hof am Ende der achtziger Jahre und in den neunziger Jahren des 17. Jahrhunderts durch barocke Performance und im täglichen Leben als Repräsentant Kaiser Leopolds I. in der Metropole des Kirchenstaats.

This paper focuses in the reconstruction of the image and the ways of self-presentation of Anton Florian of Liechtenstein to both inhabitants and visitors of Rome during his diplomatic mission at the Papal court by the end of the 1680s and in the first half of the 1690s. The author examines two Baroque performances and Liechtenstein?s everyday life as the Legate to Leopold I in the capital of the Papal States.
