Im Fokus des Aufsatzes stehen die Ansprüche und Wünsche der Olmützer deutschen Gesellschaft an das Programm des deutschen Theaters in Olmütz, deren Betreiber der „Deutsche Theaterverein in Olmütz“ war und das von den „Vereinigten deutschen Theatern“ in Brünn bespielt wurde. Untersucht wurden zwei Aufstellungen gewünschter Theaterstücke und Autoren. Die erste Aufstellung wurde im Jahre 1922 angefertigt und enthält die Programmwünsche regionaler deutscher Organisationen sowie deutscher politischer Parteien. Die zweite Aufstellung stammt aus dem Jahr 1924. Sie war das Ergebnis einer Umfrage der deutschsprachigen Tageszeitung „Mährisches Tagblatt“ unter ihren Lesern. Die Analyse und der Vergleich der beiden Aufstellungen ermöglichten zu bestimmen, inwieweit sich die Program wünsche des Olmützer deutschen Theaterpublikums von den Wünschen der örtlichen deutschen Organisationen und Parteivertreter unterschieden.

The central themes of the analysis are the requests and wishes of the German society of Olomouc regarding the program of German theatre in the city. Although the German theatre was run by the „German theatre association of Olomouc“, the actually performances were produced and presented by the „United German Theaters“ of Brno. The analysis focused on two lists of theatre plays and writers of theatre plays. One list was compiled in 1922 and represents the requests of regional German organizations and German political parties regarding the program of the German theatre. The other list was compiled in 1924 and was the result of a survey conducted by the German daily „Mährisches Tagblatt“ amongst its readers to identify the wishes of the German population of Olomouc regardring the theatre program. The analysis and comparsion allowed us to determine to which extent the requests of the German organizations and political parties corresponds with the result of the survey.
