Die Studie analysiert die Schmähschrift Pasquill von itzigem Zustandt deß zur Verfügung Kriegswesens von 1618/1619, die in einer handschriftlichen Fassung in den Sammlungen des Hauptstaatsarchivs Dresden erhalten geblieben ist. Der Verfasser der Schmähschrift listete einflussreiche Personen, Machtgruppen und Länder auf, die in den Konflikt zwischen den habsburgischen Herrschern und den böhmischen Ständen grundlegend eingreifen könnten. In jedem Fall fügte er einen Kommentar hinzu, im dem er ziemlich sarkastisch die aktuelle Position des Einzelnen, seine Vergangenheit sowie weitere Pläne beschrieb.

The study analyses and makes available the pamphlet Pasquill von itzigem Zustandt deß Kriegswesens from 1618/1619, which has been preserved in a manuscript version in the collections of the Hauptstaatsarchiv Dresden. The author of the pamphlet proceeded to list influential persons, power groups and countries which could fundamentally intervene in the conflict between the Habsburg rulers and the Bohemian Estates. In each case he added a comment describing the current position of the individual, his past and other plans in a very sarcastic way.
