Das Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit den tschechischen Publikationen des Reisenden Josef Wünsch über seine Expedition nach Armenien und Kurdistan. Das Hauptinteresse gilt dem spezifischen literarischen Stil des Autors, der stark von den modernen fiktionalen Tendenzen des letzten Drittels des 19. Jahrhunderts, insbesondere dem Feuilletonstil, beeinflusst wurde. Josef Wünsch wurde von den zeitgenössischen Kritikern anerkannt, aber im Fall der fraglichen Texte erfüllte er nicht die Erwartungen von Lesern, die den abenteuerlichen Typus des Reiseberichts bevorzugten.

The chapter deals with Czech publications of the traveller Josef Wünsch concerning his expedition to Armenia and Kurdistan. The main attention is paid to the author's specific literary style, which was strongly influenced by modern fictional tendencies of the last third of the 19th century, especially the feuilleton style. Josef Wünsch was recognized by contemporary critics, but in the case of the texts in question he did not fulfill the expectations of readers who preferred the adventurous type of travelogue.
