Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The Czech Red cattle, an original breed raised in the Czech republic vanished almost in the 20th century, the program of saving has been started. The goal of this project is to increase the number of pedigree animals. The absorptive crossing of Czech Spotted cows and Czech Red sires should help to enlarge the population. The number of purebred females has increased from 32 in 1992 to 56 in 2001. Involving purebred animals only, the effective population size is Ne=21,7, it is imperative to enlarge it toNe=50. The average coefficient of inbreeding F in the population owned by Southbohemian University(crosses and purebred animals) was 1,63; in females 1,32%.It is necessary to breed the population with the aim to rescue the genetic diversity and gene pool. The use of sires of phylogenetic related breeds seems to be of benefit. Furthermore, the genetic diversity was studied in Czech, Polish and German Red cattle, Czech Spotted, Czech Black and White, and German Black and White cattle. The
