Influence of Drainage on Landscape Functioning in Šumava National Park
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The research is engaged in the influence of drainage on the landscape functioning. The investigation is taking place in the central part of the National Park Sumava, in the cooperation with Administration (NP). For this project, three catchments in the upper Šumava area were chosen: 1. The Roklanský and Modravský streams catchment (94 km2); 2. Kvildský stream and the upper part of Teplá Vltava (23 km2); 3. Hamerský stream (21 km2).These catchments were chosen because the water balance of each could be measured. Also, there were large differences in the extent of drainage in each catchment. The first catchment, to a large extent, had been heavily disturbed by infestations of barkbeetle and die-back of trees. The network of drainage ditches were mapped in the field with the help of GPS. Fluctuations in the outflow will be evaluated from Czech Hydrometeorological Institute data. Local air and ground temperatures were measured using temperature data-loggers. Changes in the areal temperatur
