Effect of sire and changes of body condition and body weight on reproduction ability in holstein cows
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of sire, body condition score (BCS and body weight (BW) changes on reproduction in dairy cows. The cows were divided into groups according to their sires and the lenght of service period in particular groups was compared. No significant influence of sire on the lenght of service pariod was found. BCS was observed once a month, BW every day with using of tenzometric scales. Significant diferences were found in BCS in 1st, 2nd and 3rd months of lactation. The highest BCS was in 1st month (in average 2,7 points), the lowest in 2nd month (2,27 points). The highest BW was in 1st month of lactation (554,12 kg), the lowest in 2nd month (538,31 kg). The correlation coeficient between BCS and BW changes was found highly significant 0,38. The correlation coeficients between BCS nad BW and lenght of service period were found highly significant (0,49 and 0,37). The correlation coeficient between BW and calving to first heat was found highly signif
