Enhancement of the Yield of Crops by Plasma and Using of Entomopathogenic and Mycoparasitic Fungi: From Laboratory to Large-Field Experiments
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Recent trends in crop production tend to eliminate the use of pesticides. Instead, environmental-friendly approaches based on biological and physical methods become more popular in plant protection. In this study we investigate the benefits of such an approach based on seed treatment by plasma discharge in together with Metarhizium anisopliae and Trichoderma virens coating as an alternative to the chemical dressing of seeds. The presented study covers both laboratory and field experiments, in which various seed treatments of spring barley, winter oilseed rape and spring poppy are compared. The results indicate, that plasma treatment and combined plasma and biological treatment of seeds have a high potential in seed production technology as added-value processes alternative to the standard chemical dressing of seeds achieved by a stimulation of seed germination, early growth of seedlings, canopy development, and they also positively influence the yield.
