Vorliegende Studie befasst sich mit der Klarstellung den Durchdringungen, Knotenpunkten sowie qualitativer und quantitativer Anwendung den Terminen Caritas, Diakonie und Soziale Arbeit. Die Autoren bemühen sich, ein Beitrag für die aktuelle Diskussion zuleisten und ein Konsens zwischen verschiedenen Auffassungen der Problematik zu erreichen. Sie binden den Begriff ?Karitative Arbeit? mit keiner konkreten Organisation der Sozialdienstleistungen. Die Studie vermeide die Generalisierung und Reduktion derTheologie an der Anwendung den Erkenntnissen und Ausgangspunkten für die Soziale Arbeit. Praktische Theologie und Soziale Arbeit sind in der Studie als zwei sich gegenseitig beeinflussenden Fächer auffassen. Nach der Einführung in den historischen Zusammenhängen und systematischen Bindungen zwischen dem Christentum und der Sozialen Arbeit konzentriert sich die Studie an die strukturelle Ähnlichkeit zwischen der Wissenschaft über der Sozialen Arbeit und der Praktischen Theologie. The paper tries to clarify intersections, points of contact as well as the quantitative dimension in real application of terms charity, diaconia and social work. Some authors hope to shift the discussion and reach a consensus in understanding of the issues. They do not identify the term of charity work with a particular organization providing social services. The paper avoids generalization and reduction of theology just to the application of findings and social work bases. Practical theology and socialwork are understood here as two disciplines that influence each other. After the introduction to the historical context and systematic bonds between Christainity and social work the paper focuses on structural resemblance between social work as a science and practical theology. Further to this the paper formulates specific forms of mutual influencing and therethrough also the signs of charity work.
