First part of this study entitled Integral apologetics yesterday and today deals with Maurice Blondel's concept of so called "integral apologetic" as it was introduced into the Czech scientific context by the works of Karel Říha SJ. His emphases on different Blondel's theses are highlighted. Second part of the text brings into discussion another great Jesuit thinker of the 20th century. It is Cardinal Avery Dulles, who took into account Maurice Blondel on several occasions especially when he argued within the field of fundamental theology. This part wants to show, how Blondel's philosophy was highly influential in theology of the last century. When this study comes to its end, the question of further inspirations from Blondel's thought in contemporaryfundamental theology is discussed and some impulses are proposed. It is attempted to make obvious that contemporary theology may continue to benefit from the great Christian philosopher Maurice Blondel, and it is predominantly Karel Říha
