This study intends to recall the harmful events of February 1948 using the probe method into literature and archive sources, taking into consideration the &quot;eight&quot; in 2018. This study will take into account the České Budějovice Dioceses Church history, while focusing on the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in České Budějovice. The study will firstly briefly recall the characteristics of the period, the situation in the České Budějovice Dioceses based on the Dioceses Catalogue, the relationship of the Communist Party with the Catholic Church and the position of the České Budějovice Bishop, Josef Hlouch. Then, given the limited space for the study, the study will provide more detailed information about the individual fates of the Cathedral canons - members of the Cathedral.
