Der Verfasser erwägt, ob und inwiefern man das Emmergenzmodel von Bernd Hamm, dass von demselben für Kirchengeschichte entwickelt wurde, auch für die Traditionstheorie brauchbar machen kann. Anscheinend wäre es dort nützlich, wo man keine direkte kausale Beziehungen identifizieren kann. Der Autor examiniert dann auch andere wichtige Konzepte der Emmergenz. Der Aufsatz ist als methodischer Vorschlag konzipiert, es wird keine unmittelbare Applizierung vorgenommen; der Autor meint jedoch, dass Hamms Model z.B. auf die Tradition der Schriftdeutung und ihre ökumenische Probleme applizierbar ist.

The author considers whether and to what extent Hamms model of emergence can be included among the models by which we try to capture the processes of „dissemination“. Obviously, this would be appropriate where a straightforward relationship between the identified causes and the outcome cannot be understood. Beyond Hamms thesis, the author also examines the view of other authors on the issue of emergence. The article is in terms of genre a proposal. Thus, it presents this option for discussion, but does not apply it to specific cases. However, cases of emergence can be expected, for example, in the tradition of Scriptures interpretation and it´s influence.
