The Good Samaritan - A Public Theology for Helping Professions
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The book is intended for those who have never read or heard anything about the Good Samaritan parable – to people involved in helping professions, whether as social workers, heads of social services organisations, or in any other field. The book aims at introducing in steps how Jesus Christ’s thinking is shown in one of the parables in the Gospel according to Luke regarding human need and regarding how people should approach the need of others, how they should react to it, how they should deal with it. The book therefore departs from some of those plausibilities that Christians commonly associate with this parable. At the same time, it also aims at addressing preconceptions that are directed either against the parable itself or against Christian caritas and diakonia.
