Na základě floristických dat z posledních průzkumů mechorostů v české části Krkonoš jsme sestavili seznam hlevíků, játrovek a mechů zaznamenaných na české straně pohoří a vyhodnotili je podle kritérií IUCN pro posouzení stupně ohrožení.

Based on the floristic data from recent bryophyte surveys in the Czech part of the Krkonoše (Giant) Mts., we compiled a list of hornworts, liverworts and mosses recorded on the Czech side of the mountain range, and evaluated them according to the IUCN criteria to assess their level of threat. Of the 632 bryophyte taxa evaluated, 7 are considered Regionally Extinct, 41 are considered possibly extinct and recognised as a subcategory of Critically Endangered taxa, 70 are assessed as Critically Endangered (with recent records), 66 are assessed as Endangered and 79 are assessed as Vulnerable. 31 taxa are classified as Near Threatened and for 15 species, we could not decide on a category (Data Deficient taxa). We have also identifed about 55% of the local bryophytes as Regionally Important Taxa; the proportion of these taxa in the highest threat categories is greater than that of the lower risk categories and Least Concern taxa, highlighting the threat to the most important element of the local bryoflora.
