Thirty-four species of lichens and two species of lichenicolous fungi are reported for the first time from Ukraine, specifically from primeval Carpathian forests. Six genera, Absconditonia, Andreiomyces, Chicitaea, Elixia, Puttea, and Sporodophoron, are new to Ukraine. The identification of the species Absconditonia sublignicola, Buellia dives, Cliostomum haematommatis, Lecidella albida, Micarea flavoleprosa, M. isidioprasina, Mycoporum antecellens, Puttea exsequens, Rinodina willeyi, and Sporodophoron cretaceum was confirmed by DNA barcoding. The species Andreiomyces obtusaticus, Chicitaea cristinae, Cliostomum haematommatis, Lecidella albida, Lepra multipuncta, Micarea fallax, M. flavoleprosa, and Ochrolechia bahusiensis were identified using TLC. Additionally, Sporodophoron cretaceum is for the first time reported including fruitbodies. The globally rare epibryophytic species Gyalidea cylindrica is reported from the third locality in the world. © (2024), (CZECH MYCOLOGY). All Rights Reserved.
