The devolopment and validation of the Czech form of the state-trait anger expression inventory

The purpose of this study was to adapt Spielberger´s STAXI (1988;German version 1992) for the Czech conditions. We started with translation of the original Spielberger´s Questionnaire many yars ago and published our prelminary results (cf. Stuchlíková, Man, & Spielberger, 1994 in the Czechoslovak Psychology-journal). Next we used the original Anger Expression Scales follow by Hodapp´s and Bongard´s "new" Version of Anger-Expression Scale in a balanced order, i.e. AX/In, AX/Out, and AX/Con (at home, at the University, during free time). The small booklet contained the following questionnaires: 1. original STAXI; Anger Expression under the above mentioned conditions (at home, at the University, during free time), STAI, and Marlowe-Crowne Social Desirability Scale (MCSDS). This booklet was administred to the sample consisted of 215 undergraduate students of the University of South Bohemia with 119 women and 96 men. Age of participants ranged from 22 to 24 years of age.
