Mathematics in general and the number theory especially is rather unpopular for students, it is often considered to be useless as well as being neglected. Our aim is to show that the number theory plays an irreplaceable role in many fields of everyday life and students should take it into account. The paper presents disconcerting results of testing chosen students of elementary problems from the divisibility. There is an actual need of transformation of the way of teaching the number theory the young students.
