The aim of this monograph is to assess mutual relation of a few indicators (unit costs, differential unit costs, price and the volume of production in in-kind and monetary units) in terms of economy and efficiency of production. The monograph is dividedinto two parts. The first part will give a theoretic explanation of relations that apply among the above mentioned indicators. After defining indicators, their relations and influence on the volume of production and the profit/loss are discussed. Such relations refer to the development of the theory of production and cost functions. Connected system of quantitative evaluation of indicators is based on the pyramid model. The system of quantitative evaluation is based on the expression of absolute and relative saving and overrun of individual indicators and the expression of their future development under set conditions.
