The chapter deals with the implementation ofcircular technologies in the use of energy waste inagricultural production (both plant and animal) in ruralareas. The waste of the mentioned sector of the economymeets the required standards of renewable resources for thedecentralized production of energy commodities (mainlyelectrical and thermal energy) and the subsequent creationof an energy mix. Circular technologies set in this way alsofulfill ecological goals in the context of the challenge ofsustainable development in rural areas. For these reasons,the issue is also closely related to energy decentralization,resource diversification, self-sufficiency, and theindependence of the Czech economy from fossil resources.As part of the support of important economic interests of thestate, a synthesis of economic, ecological, social, ecologicaland security effects can be observed. In this context, thechapter demonstrates the multifunctional importance ofagriculture for the national economy.
