Ethics in 21st Century
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Through a variety of theoretical and practical lenses, this monograph examines the complex role that ethics play in 21st-century organizational practices, with a focus on how it is integrated into businessstrategies. The publication, which is organized into eight in-depth chapters, explores a number of topics, including corporate social responsibility (CSR), the development and effects of environmental, social, andgovernance (ESG) factors, Fairtrade principles, the ethical aspects of the circular economy, financial ethics with regard to accounting fraud, and the ethical challenges of the bioeconomy. The theoretical foundations, historical development, and evolution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) into the more comprehensive and measurable ESG aspects that currentlyimpact corporate governance and investment globally are the main topics of the first few chapters. The circular economy‘s contribution to sustainable development and Fairtrade‘s involvement in ethical consumption arecovered in the sections that follow. Subsequent chapters discuss the difficult moral conundrums in the bioeconomy as well as the ethical issues in financial reporting. In order to bridge the gap between ethical theoryand real-world application in business and governance, the monograph concludes with expert panels on corporate ethics and provides insights into creating ethical cultures in contemporary enterprises
