Název v původním jazyce
Recapture, growth and movement of wild, pond- and hatchery-reared European grayling (Thymallus thymallus L.) released in small stream
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Recapture, growth and migration of two-year old grayling fry (stock) and one-year old resident wild grayling were assessed on basis of individually recaptured and marked fish after 168 days in 12 experimental stretches of the river Blanice vodňanská. Onepart of artificial-reared fish was reared in stew pond (hatchery) (feed on pellets) and the second sort of fish was reared in pond with natural food. The highest recapture (40 %) had wild grayling in control river stretches without stocked hatchery fish. Somewhat lower recapture (28 %) had wild fish in experimental stretches. In comparison with both groups of fish, wild fish carried out in stew pond and natural pond had significantly lower recapture (14 % and 16 %, respectively). Differences in specific grow rate and in down-stream and up-stream migrations were not significant during experimental time among any group. Wild grayling stayed in experimental stretches significantly more than grayling reared in pond.
