This volume represents the first monographical elaboration of two important nematode groups, Dracunculoidea and Anguillicoloidea, mostly histozoic parasites of fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals including man with a world-wide distribution.In addition to a critical evaluation of available data in the literature, the book is based in a high degree on own studies of the author. The monograph summaries the present knowledge of the taxonomy, morphology, biology and ecology of these parasites,provides keys to identifications, diagnoses of higher taxa and descriptions and illustrations of all species parasitic in vertebrates as adults or as larvae. It also gives data on their hosts, localization, distribution and biology. A new classificationsystem of these nematodes based on latest knowledge is presented.
